We still offer sims. Why? Some people prefer not to modify baseband. We repect both opinions and we have STOCK, so we offer both products :) It is totally up to you.

Please do NOT upgrade via iTune to 1.1.3. Upgrade using Dev Team's soft upgrade method which does not touch your baseband (a.k.a. modem). If you do not know what that means, please feel free to do some research or leave your iPhone at the current state.

Yes, i3gSim will still work with your iPhone after upgrading from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 using the recently published jailbroken  upgrade method, which mean NOT via iTune! We are still verifying against 1.1.3 OTB. Keep an eye on this space.

Apple announced the release of firmware version 1.1.3 today. Our product is confirmed to be working and fully functional with all jailbroken 1.1.2 and below iPhones - we cannot confirm that our product will work with 1.1.3 iPhones until a jailbreak is released for that version. Please do not update your jailbroken iPhones to 1.1.3 as of yet unless a confirmed solution is released.

Who needs it?

Although i3gSim can be used for any version of iPhone, it is specifically geared toward the unlocking a new out of box iPhone with firmware 1.1.2 and bootloader 4.6 - which is not currently unlockable via software means. iPhones produced on or after week 45 2007 require i3gSim in order to work with your desired global GSM carrier.

Does it work with any iPhone?

Yes. Our i3gSim-A product is specifically pre-programmed to work with US iPhones.
i3gSim-B is programmable to work with iPhone purchased in any country. It is easy to do, the whole programming process takes less than 2 minutes and there is no special equipment needed.
